Spring Inspired Updo

Isn't the weather beautiful?! The sun is shinning, flowers are blooming, and the birds are singing my favorite song! :-) I wanted to share with you a simple yet classy updo I did on myself. Fresh flowers in any hairstyle can glam up any look. Use a hair pin to keep them in place. Pin them on your hair right before you leave, that way they last longer through the night.

Hair Clips 101

Pictures taken from Pinterest

Hair accessories are a great way to glam up any hairstyle. Many people have told me they just don't know how to incorporate them in their hair. So I found this cute video from Ruche that shows how to style your hair using different hair accessories.

Celebrity Inspired Romantic Updo

I can officially say I'm obsessed with updos! I've been styling my hair up all week adding ribbon, fresh flowers, and bedazzled clips. They are so much fun and they make me feel very pretty. For the ladies that do not like having their hair all to the back, side updos are perfect for you. Side hairstyles have been popular amongst many famous stars like Lauren Conrad, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Carrie Under just to mention a few.

These styles inspired me to create Lisay's Romantic Updo. This is part 2 of Lisay's makeover. She normally wears her hair down so I created this side romantic updo for her special event.

Elegant Voluminous Bun Tutorial (5 minutes)

I wanted to share with you all this elegant bun I created for work. As a few of you may know, I'm completing my Special Education internship this semester. I'm teaching seven autistic boys in second and third grade. So you can only imagine how busy I am! Today I was observed on a science lesson; so of course, I wanted to look extra nice. Did I mention I LOVE MY BOYS!? Anyways...I find this look appropriate for work, parties, and/or events! This classic bun is a great way to add class and sophistication to your style.

Classic Pinup/ Old Hollywood

This post is a treat for those of you that have emailed and posted comments requesting another Pinup look. I adore the 1950s era, not only for the movies, but for the clothing, makeup and overall style of the time period. This look is my go to look for pretty much any type of fancy or formal event.

The Pinup look is actually one of the fastest looks to achieve and I will show you how to do it in this tutorial.

Featured Bride- Neith G.

This gorgeous bride did not need much to look  beautiful on her wedding day. I made her alluring eyes the focal point by using soft golds and browns and a very subtle winged liner. I applied false lashes with a technique that blends them with the natural lashes so that they are not obvious. Shimmery white eyeliner on her waterline was the final touch to make her eyes pop even more.

Bridal Look- Natural Lip Color

This is the Classic bridal look. I used my little sister as a model and we had a lot of fun taking all the pictures. We even pulled out my veil.
The makeup can be adjusted to the preferences of the bride to be, but I find that when it comes to Brides, they look much prettier with an enhanced natural look.
