Adele Inspired Chignon with a Light Smokey Eye

Nothing makes me feel more glamorous than tear drop earring and a vintage chignon paired with sparkly hair accessories. Some say it's old fashion... but what can I say?! Come to think of it, I shall quote Miss Zooey Dechanel:

Here is my friend Lisay, she was invited to an anniversary party and wanted to look extra special for the event. Lisay is only sixteen years old and normally doesn't wear a lot of makeup. So I decided to use browns, golds, and a hint of blue to add a bit spunk to this look.

Confessions of a "Makeupholic" and a new look!

I'm one of those people that not only loves playing with makeup, but that also has this fascination with collecting makeup. Needless to say, when the new Urban Decay book of shadows was announced, I convinced myself not to get it. "I have so much makeup," " i barely even have time to put on makeup with a toddler running around," and "I already have a lot of those colors," where some of the things I told myself.

Then, I went to my local Sephora and the Book of Shadows was the first thing I saw when I came in. Tempting me and drawing me in with the cute purple speaker-my favorite color!- and super cute butterflies, how dare they! So I did what any sensible adult woman would do, I bought it, even though I didn't need it, I bought it!

Twist & Links Hair Tutorial (15 minutes)

Here's another fun easy updo that is great for any hair type. The best part was no hot tools were used! For this look I applied Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Curl Definer the day before and let my hair dry naturally. I love her products because it left my wavy hair super soft and manageable with a nice hold. Check out the updo below:

Easy Breezy Summer Look

Whenever I go away for a Summer Vacation, I try to keep my makeup as simple as possible. Now that I'm a mom, I have even less time to do my makeup and I hate to waste away time that I could be spending out having fun. This look is my go to look for the summer months. Subtle Spring Look for the Career Woman

This look was requested by reader Miranda. She is a busy career woman and mom, and she wanted a "not so colorful spring look" that she could wear to work or a night out. Review- Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol III

It's no secret that Urban Decay is one of my favorite makeup brands for personal use. I especially love when they come out with their Book of Shadows  because I find that they are such a bargain. I started purchasing them back when the first one came out and I fell in love.

Green Envy

Green is a fantastic color for those with Reddish-Brown eyes and also Hazel eyes. Since green is a complementary color to red on the color wheel, it really brings out the warmth in the eye color. 

Tips:

When wearing a bright color on your eyes, make sure that you avoid any shimmer on your brow bone, use a matte highlight instead. 

NEVER bring the color all the way to your brows, this is too dramatic and it is best reserved for stage makeup.

Make sure you blend out the eyeliner to create a smokey effect and so there are no harsh lines.

Keep the rest of your face subtle so that all the attention will be on your eyes. 

The best lipstick colors that complement  green eyeshadow are: pinks, nudes, and peachy tones.

Most importantly, Have fun! Makeup is supposed to be an art form, if you make a mistake, just remove it and start over!
