Hi Ladies,
Jaday and I have been very busy on the weekends the last couple of months. Even though we are not posting much on the blog, please follow our facebook and instagram! I wanted to share with you the look I did on my friend Valerie. She was going to a wedding and bought a beautiful gown. I wanted her to look like a movie star! Excuse the quality of the pictures, they were taken with my iphone. Hope you like this look! If you are inspired to recreate the look, send a picture to our facebook; we would love to see it. Adele Inspired Chignon with a Light Smokey Eye
Nothing makes me feel more glamorous than tear drop earring and a vintage chignon paired with sparkly hair accessories. Some say it's old fashion... but what can I say?! Come to think of it, I shall quote Miss Zooey Dechanel:
"I love old music, old movies, screwball comedies,
vintage clothes and basically I’m an old-fashioned gal."

Marilyn Monroe's Beauty Secrets Revealed
I found this wonderful video by famous makeup artist Lisa Eldridge about Marilyn Monroe's beauty secrets. Lisa shares interesting facts of Marilyn's transformation into an iconic Hollywood star. Did you know that Marilyn use Vaseline on her face as a primer? This gave her a healthy young glow. Lisa goes on demonstrating makeup techniques in how you can achieve Marilyn's glamorous look at home. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did!

Celebrity Inspired Romantic Updo
I can officially say I'm obsessed with updos! I've been styling my hair up all week adding ribbon, fresh flowers, and bedazzled clips. They are so much fun and they make me feel very pretty. For the ladies that do not like having their hair all to the back, side updos are perfect for you. Side hairstyles have been popular amongst many famous stars like Lauren Conrad, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Carrie Under just to mention a few.
These styles inspired me to create Lisay's Romantic Updo. This is part 2 of Lisay's makeover. She normally wears her hair down so I created this side romantic updo for her special event.

Tutorial: Fall 2011 Look- Inspired by Beyonce
Hello my dear makeup friends!
Oh how I have missed this blog! I know it has been a while since I have posted, but I am back. I have been super busy in both my professional life and my personal life. Between motherhood, purchasing and remodeling a new house, going back into the workforce, and a million other things, I have abandoned my blog. Eleni has been holding down the fort while I was gone, and she has done a fabulous job. I know you all enjoyed her super cute looks. Okay, enough with the blabber, I know you will forgive me. I finally took pictures of a look and I can't wait to share it with you.
I, along with probably all makeup bloggers out there, fell in love with the makeup looks in Beyonce's new video "Countdown." Here is my own version of one of the looks in the video. I used colors that compliment my complexion, so don't expect an exact copy, this is just inspired by it.
