Red Carpet Inspired Makeup & Hair
Hi Ladies,
Jaday and I have been very busy on the weekends the last couple of months. Even though we are not posting much on the blog, please follow our facebook and instagram! I wanted to share with you the look I did on my friend Valerie. She was going to a wedding and bought a beautiful gown. I wanted her to look like a movie star! Excuse the quality of the pictures, they were taken with my iphone. Hope you like this look! If you are inspired to recreate the look, send a picture to our facebook; we would love to see it. Click Read More to see the list of products I used.

Quick Look: Retro Cat Eye
Hey there!
I haven't posted a look on the blog in a few months. I figured it was about time! I did this makeup look tonight and got lots of compliments so I decided to post it. The pictures were taken with my iPhone so I apologize in advance for the low resolution. If you want to get your daily beauty fix, make sure to follow us on Instagram! We post several times a day on our account @adorned_faces.
A lot of starlets have been sporting retro inspired cat eye looks on the red carpet, Kristen Stewart and Demi Lovato just to name a few. All you need to accomplish this eye look is soft beige and black eyeshadows, black eyeliner and lots of mascara. Make sure to use matte makeup, too much shimmer can make this look dated. Keep the lips nude and go have fun! This makeup look is not for wallflowers, beware, stares will follow!

Adele Inspired Chignon with a Light Smokey Eye
Nothing makes me feel more glamorous than tear drop earring and a vintage chignon paired with sparkly hair accessories. Some say it's old fashion... but what can I say?! Come to think of it, I shall quote Miss Zooey Dechanel:
"I love old music, old movies, screwball comedies,
vintage clothes and basically I’m an old-fashioned gal."

Modern 60's Inspired Makeup
I haven't done a makeup tutorial in a while, it's been too long. I have a toddler running around the house, which leaves me with very little time to write. May I add, my daughter who is only 16 months, is already showing interest in makeup. She loves to use my brushes to give makeovers to anyone willing! It's too cute. I've had this makeup look saved on my computer, for a couple of months now, and today I am finally writing a tutorial. Keep reading for a tutorial.
This is a 60's inspired makeup look that can be worn without looking like you stepped off a time machine. I added a bright pink lip to give it a more modern and fun feel.

Confessions of a "Makeupholic" and a new look!
I'm one of those people that not only loves playing with makeup, but that also has this fascination with collecting makeup. Needless to say, when the new Urban Decay book of shadows was announced, I convinced myself not to get it. "I have so much makeup," " i barely even have time to put on makeup with a toddler running around," and "I already have a lot of those colors," where some of the things I told myself.
Then, I went to my local Sephora and the Book of Shadows was the first thing I saw when I came in. Tempting me and drawing me in with the cute purple speaker-my favorite color!- and super cute butterflies, how dare they! So I did what any sensible adult woman would do, I bought it, even though I didn't need it, I bought it!
