Editorial Magazine
2012 is shaping out to be a rather busy year for my makeup artist career. Apart from working with lovely Miami brides, I have been doing lots fun and inspiring shoots with the talented Diana Santisteban. We recently got contacted by teen model Haven, to put together a shoot for her book. I wanted to share with all of you that the shoot was chosen to be featured on Editorial magazine! I hope you enjoy the little preview below.
"Editorial is a collection of fashion imagery. It is a magazine filled with photographs from artists all around the world. No words; just images. They represent fashion, art, and photography"- Erica Hopson founder of Editorial Magazine
Here is a preview of the magazine:

Avant Garde Photo-shoot: Femininity VS Masculinity
The past two years I have been assisting Jaday in photo-shoots
working with creative photographers and stylists. I enjoy preparing
for the shoots and seeing their mood boards turn into reality right before my eyes. So last winter break I decided to do another photo-shoot. This shoot is completely different compared to my previous one: Frilly, Dreamy, Vintage, and Sweet
Yes this is a DRAMATIC look. I enjoy applying makeup as a form of expression rather than just the beauty aspect of it. It's liberating to grab a brush and know you have no restrictions, limitations, or boundaries....

1960s Inspired Photo-shoot: Behind the Scenes Video
Here is the behind the scenes video of the photo-shoot we did this weekend at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Fl. As always we had a blast working again with Diana Santisteban. She never fails to amaze us with her creativity and beautiful shots. We also had the pleasure working with Tyler Ocampo a beautiful model from Wilhelmina Models and fabulous Kym Martin who was the stylist of this shoot! We will be posting the pictures soon in our Print Portfolio.

Bohemian Summer Shoot
I had the pleasure of working as a Makeup Artist and Hairstylist on a Bohemian/African Tribe inspired photo shoot recently. I love what I do, and recently I have found another passion of mine, and that is styling the overall theme and also wardrobe for shoots. For this Particular shoot I worked together with Owl Garden Styling to come up with these three different outfits complete with Jewerly, Makeup and Hair.
The pictures of this shoot were taken by photographer Diana Santisteban. To view more of her work visit her website at: www.dianasantisteban.com

Photo shoot: frilly, dreamy, vintage, & sweet...
This photo shoot was done by yours truly! The girl seen in these pictures is a future graduating senior of the C/O 2011. She was interested in getting her makeup done and having her senior pictures taken. However she didn’t want traditional senior pictures, rather pictures that reflected herself and the theme of her party, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. So, I found the perfect opportunity to shoot my own photo shoot! I love photography! Problem is that I don’t own a professional camera nor have training. But, a good friend lend me his camera and gave me a crash course.

Egyptian Inspired Makeup Look
Egyptian Royalty Inspired Makeup
Here we have my assistant Eleni. I wanted to make her look completely different and I was inspired by Egyptian style makeup to create this amazing transformation. I took the pictures without flash, using low yellow lights to create a warm, mystical effect. Scroll down for more information, tips and ideas that you can use to recreate this look.

Behind The Scenes- MFA Presents- New Generation III MMA
Hello readers,
This is a different kind of post from what I usually have for you guys. I wanted to give you a little insight into what it's like to work as a Production Makeup Artist. With all the time constraints, I normally don't have the chance to take pictures at the events I work for, but this weekend I was able to bring along a photographer to this MMA event. I really want you all to have the complete Behind the Scenes experience. So here it is...See more on this post by clicking "Read More" below!

أميرة عربيّØ©
The Arabic Makeup style is all about the eyes. Make sure you line the eyes in an exaggerated way and use vibrant eyeshadow colors that will stand out. The brows are also dramatized and filled in to appear fuller. It also helps if you have a model of Arabic descent :) This is clearly an extravagant look, but you can make it wearable by using less eyeliner and less glitter and obviously don't go out with dots all over your forehead. :)
This makeup was done using airbrush and also pigments. The list of products used is too long to post, but if you want it, then just email me or comment.

This look will be divided into several posts due to the large amount of pictures. Enjoy :)

Pinup Makeup Shoot
These pictures are from a super fun look! The classic American Pin Up girl. This look can be worn to any special event by wearing less extravagant false lashes and toning down the eyebrows. Enjoy.:)
